Samurai Jack Speedpaints
Found some really inspiring images of backgrounds from samurai jack so I decided to have a go at a few. The backgrounds may appear flat on the show but compositionally they have a lot more depth and dimension than I thought.

Ralph Steadman Exhibition
This past weekend I went to the Ralph Steadman's exhibition. His work looks even better up close so many marks and brushstrokes are lost through the print process. The energy of the inks and and watercolour look so much more animated on the original artwork, Real inspirational stuff and I really got into sketching from his work. I also had the chance to meet Uli Meyer who was there introducing his new picture book 'Cuthbert Was Bored' which was real cool as well!

FIlm Noir Speed Paintings
A few speed paintings to get a better understanding of value. I chose Film Noir scenes for shadows and lighting a lot funner than drawing apples and oranges instead! (All around an hour)
